Four generations producing table olives have kept the secret of the seasoning that makes Torremar olives among the best in the world.
Aceitunas Torremar is a family business where tradition and innovation come together to produce a product of the highest quality. They incorporate new seasoning formulas and ingredients and present their products in a wide variety of formats.
With the Ayrtac MC/200 capper they process 5 million kilos of olives per year, supplying their export customers in the USA, Canada, China and all of Europe.
Tradition and modernity
Torremar’s production is centred on two lines of work: one that is more artisan, applied to a fresh product, with no mechanisms that alter it and available in a wide range of plastic/PET formats; and another line centred on a more mechanised packaging system that allows them to obtain longer-life products available in a wide variety of formats.
Rapid model change
One of Aceitunas Torremar’s successes is innovation in packaging models, always seeking stylish products that stand out. For this reason they use a large number of containers of different sizes and shapes.
The MC/200 capper gives them great flexibility, allowing them to change formats in just a few minutes. Thus, they achieve great efficiency and agility in the delivery of their orders, without having to store an excessive amount of packaged product.

Jerónimo Nicolás and Aceitunas Torremar have been committed to Ayrtac’s new high-vacuum capper technology from the outset, seeing great advantages in this innovation, as it allows their products to be packaged without the need for a covering liquid, reducing packaging costs and facilitating the final consumption of the product. In addition, this type of packaging increases the best before date and maintains the natural flavour and utritional values of the food.
